Older than Google

Staying around... How I realized we were older than Google and what we do to keep it that way.

We incorporated August 1st, 1998 in Longview Texas.  We're coming up on 13 years this year and through some snooping around I noticed that Google incorporated in September of the same year.  It's hard to imagine a world without Google.  We use it for search, mail, document storage and a million (or googol if you prefer) of other things.  They are (to the public's eye) a free service, but we know that clearly they are a for profit group (ad revenue and so forth).

In any case... we've been around.  We started this company in the wake of AOL being the most popular way to get online (w/ a phone line no less) and to our way of thinking people already pretty much knew what the web was about.  In the past years our customers have grown more and more sophisticated.  They have bought and sold on Ebay.  They've gotten used to buying music from iTunes and learned that the Internet is more than just pictures and text.

Our early days were spent educating people about what was possible using the Internet, but now we don't get very many customers that think it's magical anymore.  They accept that it's a great tool to send information around and are more focused on what they can do with it to accomplish work.

We've stayed in business since 1998 because we do just that.  We use the Internet to do real work.  We work with our customers to create online systems for whatever they need.  We meet with them and dig into their business to the point where we can understand what tools they need and design something specifically for them.

We build what the customer wants.  Our business is that simple.  Simple doesn't necessarily mean easy :)

We've stayed around this long because of our customers.  We appreciate their support and work hard to continue giving them the service they've grown to expect.  We have some of the best and we like showing them off.
